Olav pulling incisors

Last week Olav went to the orthodontist for the first time. We went for advice because his adult teeth are all very crooked. (schots en scheef). The dentist was worried about his incisors, his milk ones are out for a long time already but his adult ones can not come through due to lack of space. The orthodontist in all his wisdom decided it was best to pull both upper canines, to make room for the incisors. Not exactly what we expected, but Olav was great. He had to adapt to the idea for a minute and after that he was perfect, didn’t flinch once. They were pulled by an assistant, very sweet lady, but it took her over an hour and in the end the orthodontist took over and had them out within a minute. Here are pics of the result.
