Last weekend Magda came to visit us. We did high school together, lost contact soon after finishing, and picked it up again about two years ago. We had a great weekend together. (She arrived on Friday night, and had to leave on Monday at noon). We were really lucky with the weather. Walking around in the rain is no fun, but now the sun was out most of the time. On Saturday we decided to do one of the walking tours. At Old Town Square are always guides with all sorts of umbrellas. We picked the orange one, and did a 4 hour tour. For me it was nice not to worry about what was the best route to walk to hit the most interest points in the shortest time. Also I know most of the legends, but mix them up or remember them the day after… Very important: I now know how to read THE clock at Old Town Square (after living in Prague for 2 years).
Sunday we did some churches, exhibitions, walking around (e.g. to the Novy Svet where we have lived for a month when the house was not finished yet)
Of course Magda brought some real Dutch stuff. When we sent her our list with favorite goodies she thought it was the weirdest list ever. She would never miss stroopwafels/ vruchtenhartjes/ hagelslag/ bananenschuimpjes. We were especially exited about a big bag Bolletje kruidnootjes. She also brought some Dutch books for the kids, we are happy about that, and have read them already many times. Thanks Magda!
