Today was a beautiful sad day. Beautiful because this was the first real sunny day this year. I felt a bit awkward in my black boots and stockings. In the morning the puddles were still covered with a thin layer of ice, and Romke had to scrape the ice from the car windows. But soon it was really sunny and it felt like spring had finally come. In the afternoon the kids were playing in the yard, even took their coat off (11 C, 52 F). So all the reason to be cheerful, but today was also the farewell brunch we organized for Louise. She is one of my best friends here in Prague, and her daughter Emma is one of Olav’s classmates and they are very close. They are moving in a couple of days, and we’re going to miss them. A lot.
