Friday was a half day at school, because it was the last day before the holiday. My good friends Mary and Elizabeth came to have lunch right after school with their kids. The weather again was beautiful, we ate outside and the kids played in the yard. Just perfect. It is like there’s no spring here in Prague, two weeks ago we had snow, and now it was about 24 C , 75 F! For the Dutch people: have you ever sat in your shorts and tank top between the krokussen and narcissen (daffodils)? Well, that’s how it is right now here, and I love it. (I think in the Netherlands the spring flowers start to bloom at least 3 weeks before they start here.)
So first the kids took of their sweat shirt, then the trousers went, next were the polo shirts. They found the garden hose and asked to play with it, first we said no, but it had a magical attraction to them. So they ended up all soaking wet, having so much fun. In the end they even took off their underwear, and there were 7 stark naked kids running in the yard. A nice way to start the Easter holiday.
